So you’re basically doing one legged switch kicks. You hop, put that leg down and do a switch kick with the right leg. I think I finally got it on the last time through.įor the knee switch kick, you have your knee bent and up towards your chest. I kept doing one legged burpees instead of one armed burpees. For the burpee punches, you squat down and then jump into plank, but instead of putting both hands on the ground, you put the left hand down and punch with the right hand.įor some reason, my brain just could not understand this move. So we have two new moves here with the burpee punches and the knee switch kicks. Round 2 is ab attack, burpee punches, and knee switch kicks. Oh yea, that’s because IT IS. For this move, you do one side of the “hit the floor” move and then when you come up, you do a tuck jump, then you go down to the other side of the “hit the floor”. The POWER MOVE for this round is hit the floor tuck jumps. You would think that at some point I would get better at switch kicks, but it just never happens. At this point I tell myself, “Well, at least I wasn’t the first person to max out…” and then I quickly maxed out right after her at 8:48 during one of the never-ending rounds of switch kicks. Our girl Melissa looks to be the first to max out at about 7 minutes in. We’ve done all of these moves before, but that doesn’t mean they’re easy! And you can tell that even Shaun T’s minions are having a tough time of it. This round consists of plyo hook lunges, wide in & out knee taps, and switch kick punches. I think one of my favorite things about these workouts is how the dudes usually look totally goofus when they’re doing them. I couldn’t tell if we were supposed to be getting some oblique work on this one, or if we’re just raising the knee straight in front of us. For the hop hop knee, you hop to the side twice, then raise your outside knee. The warm-up here is low switch kick punches, hop hop knees, and 1-2-3 claps.

If Monday was all about ENDURANCE and Tuesday was all about POWER, Wednesday is all about the SWEAT.

We’ve seen most of the moves in this workout, so it’s all about getting that form correct and powering through them. In each round, you do the moves 3x and then have a power move, which means that we’re stretching that time between our water breaks. The format of Max Out Sweat is basically the same as what we saw in Max Out Cardio from Monday. But I warned you guys in my “about me” post that I was a crazy cat lady, so deal) So let’s POWER JUMP right into it, shall we? I feel like, even though the first month of workouts was intense, it still lulled me into a false sense of security that I’d be able to do the second month of workouts…or, you know, NOT DIE while doing the second month of workouts. Shaun T is not even playing around anymore.
